The trial was conducted by ZIMSOFF, the Zimbabwe Smallholder Organic Farmers’ Forum, and the Monaco Quantum Elements Association, with Optima Quanta providing the technology.

Our quantum technology was applied free of charge across approximately 10,000 hectares of mixed crops, farmed by several thousand families, with a further 5,000 hectares of adjacent fields left untreated for comparison.
The season was far from favourable: a long drought followed by excessive rain. In the untreated areas, under the same weather, harvests ranged from a loss of a third to a gain of 20%. In the same conditions, farmers in the treated areas reported increases of between 40% and 900% compared with their harvest the previous season, in maize, sorghum, groundnuts, finger millet and Bambara nuts.

Side-by-side images comparing the treated and control areas show that the treated plant (on the right of each image) has more robust root development and a fuller canopy.
As part of the ongoing field trial in Zimbabwe, we remotely applied our quantum technology to the feed for a broiler chicken batch used by a participating farmer, alongside its established use on treated cropland in the same region.
